Vixen

Vixen also known as female fox or a spiritual woman who possess certain powers of caged animals. It all started in ancient Africa where the warrior Tantu who was considered to be the most respected person in whole tribe asked Anansi to create totem that will possess the power of all animals in the kingdom, but these powers can only be unlocked if used for protection of innocent people. Tantu then used that totem and became the Africa’s legendary hero. Tantu has lived in the village known as Zambesi.

Mari heard about the strength of this totem from her mother. Mari’s mother was killed by poachers and afterwards she was raised by her father. After long family, fearsome fights for this totem, Mari took this totem and travelled back to America. Mari then found out that his father is not his real father, so after that she fought hard to find identity of her real parents. In comics, vixen has made only two solo appearances, once fighting with killers of her mother and secondly fighting psycho criminal Admiral Cerebrus. She was also accepted by JLA (Justice League of America). When she was serving JLA the General Maksai took totem from her but it is of no use to General Maksai, as the sole purpose of totem was protection of innocent, that’s why Genera Maksai lost his life and turned in to a beast.

The New 52 has revolutionized the comic world and it also has surplus effects on Vixen too. She was recruited by new JLI i.e. Justice League International. Her serving period was short, as she was injured during a mission.

Vixen possess the ability to access earth’s morphogenetic field, which is called as red. By having this type of ability, she can unlock the strength of every animal that is living or has lived in the planet earth. She has to focus on an animal and then she can have access to strength of that animal. She was so trained and strong while using this red that she can use strength of multiple animal in a single time. She can also channel powers of extinct animals like saber-tooth tiger, Triceratops, and even dragons. Her totem is fox-head shaped talisman. At first, she needed totem to access powers but later she became so used to that she can access those abilities with her mind and that’s how she defeated General Maksai when he took her totem. Vixen was also appeared in Legends of tomorrow and it was played by Amaya Jiwe who is known as grandmother of Mari.
