Supergirl

Supergirl is a fictional character appeared in American comic books and then it was published by DC comics. She was created to be a female counter part of famous superhero Man of steel (Superman). The character was created by the famous writer Otto Binder and her costume was designed by Al Plastino. When krypton was destroyed Kara Zor-El was sent to planet earth to protect her cousin Kal-El Superman. Instead of protecting Superman she strangled in a planet where she was not able to age for a single day. Superman found her there and brought her to planet Earth, where he hands her over to a family Danvers in National city. She shares exactly same powers like superman she is vulnerable when expose to kryptonite. Supergirl has played vital role in DC comics. Supergirl and Superman both have strength in Earth because of yellow sun, the sun in kryptonite is totally different from this one.

At first Kara hid her powers for a decade. She believes that Earth doesn’t need another hero like Superman. One night a plane carrying more than 500 passengers troubled landing because of engine failure. She quickly flies over there and saved the plane. After certain period of time she realized that most of the prisoners captured by her parents are walking freely in planet earth, so she considered this as an opportunity to save the entire planet by capturing all the prisoners. Her mother was a judge in Krypton. Supergirl’s aunt Astra was also planning to destroy Earth along with her husband. During these events Supergirl came to realize that her step sister Alex Danvers is DEO Agent. DEO is the agency which was fighting aliens in national city and capturing them. She also came to realize that DEO was headed by Hank Henshaw who was technically Martian Manhunter (J’onn J’onzz).

After protecting earth for a while she had made enemies with various organizations. During those days, Cadmus rises to liberate United States from aliens. Superman also known as Clark Kent was working in a company as reporter, after spending some time with Superman Kara wanted to follow Clark, that’s why she requested Miss Cat CEO of CatCo to give her job of a journalist.

Coming to her abilities she possesses all the powers similar to Superman like super strength, speed, enhanced sensing and invulnerable to bullets. She was elder than Superman in Krypton, that’s the only reason she possesses more knowledge about Krypton and its neighboring planet Daxom.
