Black Canary

Black Canary is a vigilante appeared in Arrow television of CW in season 1,2,3. She fights crime using martial arts which she has learned from a former vigilante and she wears a device made by Cisco which is sonic scream attack. She is one of the best fighters in DC universe. Her name is Dinah Laurel Lance. She was born in to a family of crime fighters, her father was a police officer while her mother was original Black Canary. When she turned 19, she has decided to become crime fighter. After rigorous training and hard work, she became a fighter and adopted her mother’s costume. Before becoming Black Canary, Laurel was a lawyer and she help police to catch the gangsters. She was totally impressed by her father who was a captain in Star City. She was a friend of green arrow, she has known to him personally and she was working with him in protection of the city.

Laurel Lance also became the founding member of Justice league. The name Justice League was also suggested by Laurel. After starting Justice League, she falls in love with Oliver Queen. Her costume was totally black with blonde hair. Black Canary title was not only worn by Laurel Lance but by various women throughout the world in different variations of time. She also spends sometime in the fortress of Young Justice league, where she spends most of her time with tornado to train young disciples to save world from villains.

Black Canary was a team player and has saved star city from various crimes with Green Arrow. She has also proven herself as a team player while working with members of Justice League. In some comics, it is written that canary cry was her super power as we saw in The Flash but in Arrow we saw Cisco has built that device for her. Canary cry allows her to create ultrasonic vibrations throughout the surrounding area emitting from her mouth and if the object is near the proximity of canary cry whether organic or non-organic gets destroyed. She can also use this ability to jump higher. In some comics, her abilities were modified by a group and later called as New 52. Black Canary was created by Robert Kanigher and Carmine Infantino. She was appeared first in Flash comics as Dinah Drake and later as Dinah Laurel Lance. Her place of birth was Gotham City.
